Welcome to Thorpe Hall Nursery

Our Pre-nursery and Nursery children can join us from the age of 2 years where they are welcomed into a safe, happy and caring environment.

Our Nursery is divided into two sections - the Pre-Nursery for girls and boys of 2 and 3 years old, and the Nursery where the children are 3 and 4 years old.

Children can attend the Pre-Nursery or Nursery for as long each day as suits them and progress from as little as one morning a week through to a full week including lunch. The School also offers early morning and after school care extending the day from 7.45am until 5pm if required. See Nursery Sessions & Fees for session details.

Children are encouraged to explore learning across the entire range of imaginative, creative, social and academic curricula. The emphasis is on play and having fun and activities are directed both by the adult carers and the children themselves. We embrace the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum but pride ourselves on adding so much more. Our weekly programme of activities offers specialist teaching in a range of subjects including Music, Dance, Drama, Sport, Cookery, French, Swimming, Computer Skills, Art and Yoga.

Our staff are well trained, experienced and dedicated to creating a caring, loving environment where children feel happy and secure. The Nursery facilities are newly refurbished and we are very proud of our architect-designed and custom-built rooms and furniture.  Our outdoor classroom and designated play lawn is used throughout the day and children also spend time exploring our woodland in regular Forest School sessions.

As a setting Thorpe Hall School Nursery is supported by local Sure Start and is inspected, like the rest of the school, by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) - the statutory body for inspecting independent schools.
